Misión
Act as a strategic partner to the Board of Directors, leading not only financial management but also contributing to the company's vision, growth, and profitability. The CFO should have a strong business-oriented approach, driving the development of initiatives to optimize production and commercial processes, enhance operational efficiency, and promote an organizational culture focused on sustainable profitability and growth. This role will occasionally substitute for the CEO in certain functions, acting as their right-hand person. The CFO will be responsible for ensuring the company's long-term financial viability, evaluating opportunities for expansion and diversification within the food sector, and managing the growth strategy in a comprehensive manner
Funciones
The selected individual will report to the Board of Directors and will be responsible for the following functions:
- Lead financial planning and control, ensuring efficient resource usage, optimization of liquidity and working capital, and meeting profitability targets. Present reports and strategic analyses to the Board.
- Serve as the primary support in negotiations of major contracts with retailers and distribution companies to ensure profitability and contract compliance.
- Define, along with the Board, the expansion strategy, lead merger and acquisition processes, and promote operational efficiency to maximize margins and reduce costs.
- Oversee the company's international activities, including imports, exports, and logistics, ensuring compliance with local regulations and optimizing currency management and exchange rates to mitigate financial risks and leverage global market opportunities.
- Collaborate with production and logistics to optimize processes, ensure quality standards, and foster innovation in products and processes, adhering to environmental and food regulations.
- Implement risk management frameworks and ensure regulatory compliance in food safety and quality, overseeing audits and strengthening internal controls.
- Promote a high-performance environment, supporting the development of key competencies and defining compensation policies and professional development to retain talent.
Perfil
- Academic Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Master’s in Financial Management, MBA, or business leadership training.
- Professional Experience:
A minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in senior management roles, with occasional exposure to the Board of Directors and involvement in general management duties.
Experience leading expansion projects, process optimization, and margin improvement initiatives.
In-depth knowledge of merger, acquisition, and business growth strategies within mass consumer markets.
